About Citizens' Advisory Committee for Special Education

What is CACSE?

  • A committee established by local school systems to seek meaningful input on Special Education.

  • A group of parents, community partners, service providers, educators and administrators working to facilitate positive changes in Special Education.

  • A forum to discuss local issues related to free and appropriate public education (FAPE) and the achievement of students with disabilities.

  • An opportunity for the Director of Special Education to collaborate with individuals concerned about Special Education.

Does your child have an IEP or 504 Plan?

CACSE offers parents and caregivers of children with special needs the opportunity to become more knowledgeable about local, state, and national Special Education issues and resources.
