Rise Up Award

The St. Mary’s County Citizens’ Advisory Committee for Special Education (CACSE) is currently accepting nominations for the “Rise Up” award from parents/caregivers for the 2025-2026 school year. (Please do not submit for previous school years).  

This award is to recognize a teacher, administrator, therapist, assistant to an educator, or anyone in the Special Education system that has truly gone to extraordinary efforts to contribute, in a compassionate and caring way, to the growth, happiness, and general well-being of your child with a disability.  

If you are a parent or caregiver that would like to nominate a person that has touched your child’s life, please fill out the information below.  

Nominees selected for the “Rise Up” award will be recognized by the Board of Education at the SMCPS Staff Recognition Ceremony on June 2, 2026 at Great Mills High School.  All Nominees and their Supervisors will receive a complete copy of the submission.
